Northbridge | Still the best....
Shadow Wine bar has been at the top of my Perth “must go” list for some years. And there are many reasons - location, edgy decor, brilliantly attentive staff, superb wine list...I could go on.
But it’s main draw card is the kitchen. Chef Monika Cook is presenting some of the best modern European fare in the country.
On our last visit in July 2019, we were surprised, i.e. not surprised, to see rabbit on the menu. As great fans of any Leporidae dish we did not hesitate ordering it.
Presented with braised leek and house made nettle pasta, pictured above, the tender, pulled pieces were pure Malta on the palate.
*Update Jan 2020. We have been there at least 6 times since. Still superb!
