Saroor - South Fremantle | Next level Indian cuisine in Fremantle
Saroor is one of those places, attached to a pub, that you walk past and think “well should we....”, we did and it was the best choice ever on a breezy Saturday arvo.
As we walked past and into, our usual, the South Beach Hotel, we discussed going back for lunch and after a beer each, and checking the menu online, in thirty seconds we were strolling in.
It’s a great room with a breezy, cool outdoor area. The menu is staggering in its choices. And the Uber Blonde, who has spent significant time in all parts of the sub continent, was amazed.
We kicked off with the Lamb Cigar roll ($17) and the Kachumber Salad ($8). Both had a light chili spice element and complimented each other perfectly, and both were beautiful. We followed this with the Tandoori Potato ($14) and the Golappe ($12).
All are dishes neither of us had seen on an Indian restaurant menu.
This is a place worthy of a much longer visit and adds to the nascent, food friendly aspect of this bustling part of South Freo.
